Chancel Choir

Our in-house praise band, "Making Room", performs a variety of music, from country, Christian rock, to the old favorite hymns.  Have a musical background?  Come join our group of musicians and singers.

Digital Ministries (Puppet Ministry)

Contacts:  Peggy Burdsall or Laurie Owens

Digital Ministries began at FUMC in the Fall of 2002 with 15 members. Their first performance was a Christmas number for Advent Night. They have since expanded their performances to festivals, other churches, the One Way Street Puppet conference and the Annual Dinner and Show each February here at FUMC. They have also performed for our Sunday services occasionally and for SAFEE (an organization for orphans and foster families).

The Digital Ministries Mission is to spread God’s word, while strengthening our own faith through our performances.

The group is for anyone ages 10—100 who likes to think creatively and/or show the love of God puppet style! If you don’t like being in front of people that’s okay, we perform behind a curtain! If you have questions about our ministry, please contact Peggy Burdsall, Laurie Owens, or the church office.

Rod Team

Contact:  Adam Burdsall

The Rod Team uses mime, dowel rods and other props and ways of creatively expressing the feelings and faith of contemporary Christian music.

Drama Team

Contact:  Aaron Leighty

This team of people enjoys bringing the Gospel message through the special medium of acting.  They may be actors and actresses, or they may help with lights, sound, sets, costumes, make-up, and many other aspects of this ministry.  They are especially busy preparing special seasonal plays during Advent and Lent, but may also be active any time of the year during regular church services.  This is a way for people of all ages to be a part of an important ministry bringing God's Word in a unique and powerful way.
